Settling down isn’t difficult

Leaving behind, however, is the difficulty

You can leave your home town or country

In their leaving you, it may not result

I thought they had no secrets for me

That they showed me the way

Still, they can trick me

And may I briefly loose my way

Connected Homes

We are always connecting

With our neighbours, the city

Through the plumbing

But, the water travels freely

Ten years, my loyal girl around the home

She’s allowed me to roam

The solid beauty of the Earth’s face

Doesn’t she deserve words of praise
